About Mata Murti Temple

At a distance of 4 km from Badrinath Bus Stand, Mata Murti Temple is an antiquated Hindu sanctuary arranged on the banks of River Alaknanda close Badrinath. The temple is devoted to Mata Murti, the mother of two children Narayan and Nara. As indicated by fanciful conviction, Mata Murti supplicated Lord Vishnu to take his next manifestation symbol by turning out from her belly. Master Vishnu concurred and turned out from her belly into this world as twins, Nar and Narayan to slaughter an evil presence.
