About Valley City
Valley City is a city in North Dakota, United States. It is the province seat of Barnes County. The populace was 6,585 amid the 2010 census,6 making it the thirteenth biggest city in North Dakota. Valley City was established in 1874. The city is known for its numerous extensions over the Sheyenne River including the Hi-Line Railroad Bridge.
These scaffolds have earned it the qualification of being known as the "City of Bridges". As indicated by the United States Census Bureau, the city has an aggregate territory of 3.46 square miles 8.96 km2, every last bit of it land. Valley City was initially called Worthington, and under the last name was laid out in 1874 when the railroad was stretched out to that point.7 The present name is for the city's area in the valley of the Sheyenne River.
